Miami Dolphins Head to Buffalo, Home of the NFL's Drunkest Fans
The Buffalo Bills fan is a volatile species.
It's understandable considering the franchise is housed in one of the coldest cities in the United States and the team hasn't won more than nine game since 1999, posting a positive season point differential a whopping two times in that same 16-year timeframe.
So it's no surprise to learn the Bills fan is the drunkest fan in the NFL, according to a study by BACtrack, checking in with an average Blood Alcohol Content of 0.076. The Dolphins fan isn't much cleaner with an average BAC of 0.061, which ranks seventh.
How was the study conducted?
We used Twitter's map of NFL fan allegiance in order to associate BAC results with NFL teams across the country. BAC data points are collected anonymously from users of BACtrack Mobile, BACtrack's award-winning smartphone breathalyzer, and BACtrack Vio.
