MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Beach police have closed down the 900 block of Ocean Drive due to threats of a possible explosive.

Police said they received several calls to their non-emergency line about a possible explosive between 9th and 10th Street.

They do not have any concrete information at this point or whether this is a real threat.

Officers along with K-9 units are conducting sweeps around the area.

At this time, they have not called the bomb squad.

CBS4's Oralia Ortega was on the scene and noted it was business as usual on Ocean Drive.

People were having dinner and walking around.

She said the only difference was two police officers not letting people through on either side of the street.
