According to our news partners The Miami Herald, officers will be required to get proper training, rotate shifts every two to three hours as well as remain outside of the location unless law enforcement services are needed inside.

Officers will also no longer be allowed to eat or drink at a club they are working at.

As part of the new rules, the businesses that hire the officers will have to pay into a fund managed by the Ocean Drive Business Association. The group would then pay the city which would in turn pay the officer.

Miami Beach's new Police Chief Daniel Oates banned off duty details in July after an officer was accused of being drunk while working at Mango's Tropical Cafe.
