MB To Host Meeting Over MLS Soccer Stadium Proposal
MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) -- The city of Miami Beach will host a town hall meeting Wednesday evening for residents to voice their opinions on the proposed Major League Soccer stadium.
The meeting will start at 6:00 p.m., at Miami Beach City Hall right after the city commission meeting. It's open to the public.
The event is meant to allow residents to discuss the proposed stadium at PortMiami and its potential impact on the MacArthur Causeway and Miami Beach traffic.
Soccer superstar David Beckham and his investment group are eyeing PortMiami as the prime spot for a soccer stadium.
In March, the group unveiled concept designs for an open-air stadium at PortMiami that would include views of the downtown skyline and bayfront.
