4 Miami Marlins Reportedly Test Positive For COVID-19
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – COVID-19 appears to have it's first in-season outbreak on a big league club.
The Marlins reportedly have four players testing positive, and all are major contributors on the team.
The news first started to leak when Sunday's starting pitcher Jose Urena was pulled from lineup before the team's game against the Phillies.
The other three players are starting catcher Jorge Alfaro, first baseman Garrett Cooper and outfielder Harold Ramirez, according to baseball writer Robert Murray.
Craig Mish, a frequent guest on our sport shows, reports the players who tested positive will likely have to quarantine in their Philadelphia hotel for two weeks.
The club will stay in Philadelphia overnight in case there are any other positive cases on the team.
Those player would have to stay behind while everyone else heads to Miami for the home opener against the Orioles on Monday.
The news wasn't all bad for the Fish, who rallied to a series win over the Phillies.
