MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Surveillance cameras from inside a bar captured a fight that ended with a man stabbed to death. But the guy now accused of murder claims it was in self-defense.

There's video from several angles, clear enough to give you an idea of what took place at Joseph's Club and Restaurant in Little Havana on May 21st.

On that date, 23-year-old Jesus Hernandez was stabbed to death.

Miguel Herrera Guevarra was arrested and charged with second-degree murder – a charge that would normally keep him in jail until trial.

"Whatever anybody says, the video speaks for itself," said Yeslina Ramos, a friend of Guevarra.

Guevarra's friends and family, and some witness from the night of the fight, have claimed self-defense.

His attorney said the surveillance video was enough to convince a judge to give his client a chance to get out of jail.

"The judge agreed there wasn't a reason to hold him on the charges so he was able to set bond in that regard," said attorney Phillip Reizenstein.

He's representing Guevarra and says the video shows everything.

"For a long period of time, [Hernandez] is acting erratically and violent to multiple individuals in the bar. This becomes important because my client sees this so he knows what he's dealing with."

Reizenstein also said, "We're going to move a little quicker. We're going to file a stand-your-ground community motion and that will be done by the end of August and we expect a hearing date in September."
