Man Arrested For Hoax Explosives Threat At White House

WASHINGTON (CBSMiami) -- A man is facing felony charges for telling a secret service agent he dropped explosives near the White House.

The situation caused a lockdown at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Secret Service K-9 teams and Washington D.C. Metro Police Bomb Squad units swept the area and determine the claim was a hoax.

The suspect, who's from the D.C. area, faces one count of making felony threats.
