Man Robbed While Filling Out Lotto Ticket

PLANTATION (CBSMiami) -- A man who was filling out a lottery ticket at a Plantation convenience store is out thousands of dollars after another man robbed a pricey piece from him in the process.

The man, according to Plantation Police, was standing near the counter filling out the ticket on July 7th at a 7/11 located at 640 North State Road 7.

That's when a man approached him from behind, grabbed a gold chain around his neck, and pulled it off of him.

A necklace, that the victim says is worth $2,500.

The robber was last seen running  out of the store with his accomplices, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

The crime was captured by surveillance cameras.  Police are looking for the people involved in the robbery and are asking the public to help identify the people in the surveillance video.
