Katherine Archuleta Touts 'Obamacare' In Fla.

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) —  The highest ranking Latina in the Obama administration headed to Florida to encourage Hispanics to the sign up for insurance under the Affordable Care Act, also known as "Obamacare."

Katherine Archuleta is visiting Palmetto General Hospital on Saturday, focusing on the largest uninsured demographic in the state. She is the first Latina to hold the position of director for the Office of Personnel Management.

The National Hispanic Medical Association and the National Hispanic Council on the Aging are among the groups collaborating on Saturday's Miami Latino Enrollment Summit.

Florida has led the way with enrollment among the states relying on the federal exchange, with more than 440,000 signing up. But anecdotal evidence suggests enrollment among Hispanics is lagging under the Affordable Care Act.

The enrollment deadline is March 31.
