"Intelligence" Stars Talk About New Action-Packed CBS Drama

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Marg Helgenberger of "CSI" fame along with Josh Holloway, best known as Sawyer from the once-hit show Lost, return for a weekly one-hour series drama in CBS's new action thriller, "Intelligence."

"Careful what you wish for," said Holloway, "I love to work but goodness gracious network TV drama will put it to you. Its 60 to 70 hour weeks. It's been tough but fulfilling. It's great to be back."

Holloway plays Gabriel, a high-tech intelligence operative who has a super computer microchip implanted in his brain. With the implant, he's the first human ever to be connected to the global information grid.

Helgenberger plays Gabriel's boss Lillian, the director of the elite government Cyber Security Agency.

"When you put a microchip in someone's brain they are obviously going to be more human than machine, so his instincts will kick-in. He doesn't have the big picture in mind, meaning national security," Marg said.

Gabriel is a true hero, but also a bit of a rogue, says Holloway, whose emotions might rule him more often than the chip in his brain.

"It's a bit of a struggle. I didn't want to play superhero that would wrap something up in nice neat bow. He has a handy tool but it's also subject to viruses and hackers—so he's dealing with all of it," said Josh.

Both actors promise a top-rate action thriller with tons of energy and drama. And yes, even a little sexual tension.

"I'm trying but she's not responding," said Holloway about Helgenberger adding, "she's too much the boss!" Helgenberger admits that there is "chemistry between all of us."

Intelligence will have a special preview Tuesday night on CBS at 9 PM. It premieres in its regular time slot Monday night at 10 PM beginning January 13.
