Police have not confirmed the use of heroin at this point. Both adults were hospitalized.
The baby was taken to a fire station near the accident scene and was handed over to the Department of Children and Families. The baby will remain in DCF's custody until a hearing on Tuesday.
This comes about a week after an Ohio police department published a graphic photo of a couple overdosing on heroin with a 4-year-boy in the backseat.
The police department made the photos public in an effort to highlight the harsh reality of the drug.
Rhonda Pasek, 50, and James Acord, 47, were charged with endangering children.
