I-95 vehicles struck by gunfire from SUV in Miami-Dade, officials say

MIAMI - Two drivers told authorities late Monday morning that they came under gunfire northbound on I-95.

Each driver reported someone in a dark SUV opened fire on them as they approached NW 125th Street.

The shootings shut down several lanes of the interstate. One of those cars exited at 125th Street while the other made its way to 163rd Street before pulling into a parking lot.

A black BMW has nearly a dozen bullet holes that we can see on the driver's side. Two are in the driver's side window.  They were very close to the driver's head.

She spoke to investigators from the Florida Highway Patrol as they looked for clues in her car.

The second car is a white Nissan. The driver is pregnant. There is a single bullet hole just behind the driver's side door. It left a large mark inside.

Investigators followed the direction of the bullet through the back seat, leading them to the trunk.  That's where they were able to bag what appears to be a bullet as evidence.

It was not clear if the incident resulted from road rage or what may have led to the gunfire.

Investigators are on the look out for a gray of black Audi SUV.

Anyone with information about the SUV was asked to call *FHP (*347).
