Hurricanes Baseball Ranked In Top 3 Of Every Major Poll

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Coming off a second straight ACC weekend sweep, the Miami Hurricanes baseball team was ranked in the top three of every major baseball poll released Monday.
The Hurricanes remained at No. 2 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll with 741 points, trailing only top-ranked Florida (771). Miami is ahead of No. 3 Vanderbilt (709), No. 4 Louisville (656) and No. 5 Texas A&M (636).
Miami (23-4, 10-2 ACC) moved up one spot to No. 2 in Baseball America's top 25, marking its highest ranking from the publication since being ranked No. 1 in the June 10, 2008 poll.
The Hurricanes' No. 3 ranking from D1Baseball is their highest since the poll's inception in 2015. Miami was ranked No. 4 in last week's poll and moved up one spot after sweeping North Carolina from April 1-3.
One of seven ACC teams in the Perfect Game top 25, Miami jumped one spot to No. 2 Monday.
The Hurricanes, who open up a four-game road swing Tuesday vs. FGCU in Fort Myers, moved from No. 4 to No. 2 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll.
The Hurricanes travel to play FGCU Tuesday before making a trip to South Bend, Ind., for an ACC series against host Notre Dame beginning Fri., April 8.
