Hochman: 2015 Dolphins Could Challenge 1972 Perfect Season

Marc Hochman unleashed a bold, sweltering, bordering-on-crazy Dolphins take today on the Marc Hochman Show with Zach Krantz.

"If there was ever a season that's gonna challenge the 1972 Dolphins' perfect season I believe it's going to be this one," Hochman said on WQAM. "My reasoning is this: sometimes everything has to fall into place. Ndamukong Suh is a talent that is not normally available on a free agent market. We made the comparison -- the last time you may have seen a defensive player that good available as a free agent -- Reggie White. So this does not happen often. Now you got Tom Brady with Patriots suspended four games -- maybe it'll be reduced. But Tom Brady is going to miss some games. Ryan Tannehill, he's gonna go into this season with more confidence than he's ever had. He's gonna go into this season with a better receiving core for him -- for him -- a receiving core that is more cut out for him than he's had.

"And now you add all that up -- Ndamukong Suh, DeVante Parker, a confident extended Ryan Tannehill, a confident, healthy extended Mike Pouncey, a receiving core built around him -- if there was a season that's gonna challenge the 1972 Dolphins' perfect season I think it's gonna be this one.

Hochman added "magical things" need to happen but things "are falling into place."

Meanwhile Krantz considers it "the hottest of the hot takes."
