Hialeah police investigate road-rage incident resulting in shots fired

MIAMI - An apparent road rage incident resulting in shots fired Tuesday afternoon is currently being investigated by Hialeah Police.

It happened in the area of West 12th Avenue & West 53rd Street, where police said a driver shot numerous times at another vehicle.

Police said a vehicle, traveling south on West 12th Avenue, not involved in the incident was struck by a stray bullet, but no one inside of the car was injured.

At the scene, officers located multiple casings on the ground at the intersection of the reported shooting.

Witnesses told police that they saw a dark-colored vehicle fleeing the area at a high rate of speed prior to police arrival.

No additional information was released by police.
