Heat Recognize Wade's Career With $13 Sale & Social Media Sendoff

WADE COUNTY (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat are recognizing the unforgettable 13-year career of Dwyane Wade in a series of activities on Friday.
Starting with social media, the Heat organization will feature Wade photo galleries, graphics and videos, including "13 Moments" – a series of vignettes paying homage to the future Hall-of-Famer's remarkable career with the team that included three NBA championship titles.
At the AmericanAirlines Arena, the 3,400 sq. foot LED marquee on the building's exterior known as the Miami Media Mesh, will feature exclusive Wade images all day long.
"Wade means so much for our community. He's done so much. Participated in so many community activities. I guess he left his legacy here," said fan Chris Donnelly.
A full-page color ad featuring Wade and the iconic "This is My House" image is also being placed in the three major South Florida newspapers.
In addition, all D-Wade merchandise will be sold for $13 at all of the Miami Heat stores, while supplies last.
"Everything that's Wade I'm going to get it," Donnelly said.
Another fan, Kenan Parker, said "It's kind of like a farewell to Wade to thank him for everything he's done for Miami and the Heat."
Anything Wade related was marked down to just 13 dollars inside the official heat stores at the triple-A and Dolphin mall.
Lines wrapped around the AAA and Dolphin mall.
"It's insane but we're doing what we gotta do for boy Wade," said Myron Desa.
