Have A Note 7 & Need To Fly? Samsung Sets Up Airport Kiosks For Last Second Exchange

MIAMI (CBSMiami) –Samsung is setting up kiosks at airports across the country to help traveling customers exchange their recalled Galaxy Note 7.

First, we started hearing of batteries blowing up in Samsung's flagship smartphone.

That was followed by the FAA asking consumers to not charge or operate the device on planes.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission took it a step further and asked all users to shut the phone down indefinitely.

After a recall and another round of exploding batteries, the South Korean company scrapped the entire line.

Samsung began shipping fire kits to its customers who wished to exchange the device.

They even included instructions on how to ship by ground and not by air since the FAA banned the Note 7 from all flights.

But if you're late to the exchange party and need to fly, Samsung is going a step further.

According to Bloomberg.com, the world's largest manufacturer of smartphones is now setting up exchange kiosks at some of the busiest airports.
