CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Guards Manu Lecomte and Deandre Burnett have decided to transfer from the University of Miami in the wake of the team's runner-up finish in the NIT.

Coach Jim Larranaga confirmed the decisions Wednesday. Both faced the prospect of limited playing time next season because the Hurricanes have five other experienced guards returning, including leading scorers Sheldon McClellan and Angel Rodriguez.

Lecomte ranked fourth on the team in minutes this season and averaged 7.9 points per game. Burnett ranked eighth in minutes and averaged 7.0 points.

Lecomte and Burnett each have two years of eligibility left. The Hurricanes lose only one other player from a team that went 25-13 this season.
