MIAMI GARDENS (CBSMiami) -- A South Florida group delved deeper into the search for a mother who has been missing for months.

Twenty-five year old Trukita Scott, the mother of a 2 and 3-year old, went missing  on June 25th.

On Saturday, the group Guardians for the Missing along with Scott's family, conducted another search. This time in Miami Gardens, near NW 39th Ave. and 215th St.

"They've been told spots, places of interest...to see if anything, you know, leads to what's going on," said her father Charles Scott. "This is the spot that they picked. I guess they might have gotten some calls or leads."

Volunteers along with sniffing dogs searched by land while divers searched a nearby canal but they turned up with nothing, according to the group.

"We just come out in hopes that we find somebody. We come out in hopes that we give this family closure," said Alison McManus, founder for Guardians of the Missing . "We're here for the family."

Many of those who volunteered are no strangers to a missing person case.

"A lot of our volunteers here today have had family members that were missing so it is hard for them as well but we come out here to help them because we know what they've been through," said McManus.

While Scott has not been found, her family and the community have made sure she is not forgotten.

In honor of Scott's 25th birthday on October 25th, her family and friends sent balloons soaring into the sky hoping somehow their message of love would reach the young mother of two.

As family and friends sang, prayed, and cried they also asked for anyone with information in the case to come forward.

But since her disappearance, there have been few clues for the police to follow.

A week after Scott's disappearance, her car was found in Liberty City nearly 25-miles south of her Fort Lauderdale home.

A day after Scott disappeared, Allen said her daughter's cell phone pinged all over South Florida including Coral Springs, North Miami, Homestead, and Florida City. The signal later disappeared.

Police have said they do suspect foul play.

"Every missing person is someone's child so we're hoping that somebody knows something," said McManus.

Unfortunately Saturday's search did not turn up any clues.

The McManus said, so far, there are no other leads so there are no other searches planned for now.

Until police find out what happened to Scott, her two children will continue to wonder what happened to their mother.

"They ask for their mom every now and then.  Sometimes they cry about it," said Scott's father.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
