Gallant: "The Goal Is To Make The Playoffs"
Florida Panthers head coach Gerard Gallant joined the Joe Rose Show on 560 WQAM to discuss his experience during the NHL's All-Star weekend and looking ahead to the second half of the season.
On John Scott: "He did an unbelievable job. All of the players felt really good for this guy when he won the MVP. It couldn't have gone any better for John Scott, it couldn't have gone better for the players, and it couldn't have gone any better NHL. It was good all around"
On Tonight vs Capitals: "[Jagr] didn't want to stay home. He wants to keep playing. I wanted to give him a couple of days to stay home. [Luongo] isn't going to play today, he's going to be the backup tonight. It was his turn anyway. [Ekblad's] a young buck and he wants to play."
"It's not about us being first in the Atlantic. It's about us getting two points tonight and getting as many points in the bank as we can. The goal is to make the playoffs."
