Free Stuff & Meal Deals To Say Thanks On Veterans Day

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - They served their country with honor and bravery and on Tuesday, on Veterans Day, they'll find dozens of organizations who want to give a little back as a thank you.
There are a number of freebies and discounts throughout South Florida for active duty military personnel and veterans along with U.S. military, National Guard and reservists, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Military identification is needed to take advantage of a number of offers which often include spouses and family members.
Let's start with the basics, better known as breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Start the morning at the International House of Pancakes which will be serving up free Red, White and Blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Denny's is offering a free build-your-own Grand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m. to noon. Dine-in only. Krispy Kreme is offering a free coffee and doughnut, no ID required.
Free lunches for vets are being offered by TGI Fridays (from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.), Red Robin (free Tavern Double burger with fries) and VooDoo BBQ & Grill (free Pulled Pork sandwich or Streetcar Burger).
A number of restaurants will be offering free appetizers for military personnel and their families including Carrabba's, LongHorn Steakhouse, Outback Steakhouse (Bloomin' Onion), Red Lobster and Ruby Tuesday,
Applebee's is offering a free entrée from a special menu when dining in. Olive Garden is also offering a free entrée from special menu along with Smokey Bones. California Pizza Kitchen is offering free pizza, salad or pasta when dining in while Hooters and Tijuana Flats are offering free entrées.
But that's not all.
Great Clips is offering free services to veterans on Tuesday. Plus, civilians who get a haircut on Tuesday automatically donate a haircut to a vet through December 31st. Vets can also get a free car wash at approximately 2,000 locations listed at GraceForVets.org.
A number of retailers are offering discounts to veterans and their families including Home Depot, Lowe's, Publix Winn-Dixie and Kohl's
Veterans and their families get 10 percent off at Home Depot and Lowe's during weekends of all military holidays. Active military personnel and their families get a discount every day. Sam's Club is giving veterans, active duty and spouses who join get a free $15 gift card and $20 welcome package through November 30th.
Florida will offer free admission to all state parks.
The Miami Seaquarium if offering free admission to all veterans, active duty military, police, fire and EMT personnel. A valid military or first responder I.D. must be provided at the ticket counter. All accompanying family members - up to six guests – will receive $11 off admission. Additionally, the general public will receive $11 off admission with discount coupon from miamiseaquarium.com/veterans.
