Former Vikings Receiver Greg Jennings Visits Dolphins
DAVIE (CBSMiami/AP) — The Miami Dolphins still have some roster holes to fill and may be looking to address some of them before the NFL Draft later this month.
Free agent receiver Greg Jennings is visiting the Dolphins on Tuesday, who are eager to shore up their corps of wideouts after several departures this offseason.
The Minnesota Vikings released Jennings last month after acquiring receiver Mike Wallace from Miami in a trade. Jennings would have counted $11 million against the Vikings' salary cap this year.
Jennings led the Vikings last season with 59 receptions for 742 yards and six touchdowns. He had three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with Green Bay.
The Dolphins remain in the market for help even after acquiring receiver Kenny Stills in a trade with New Orleans. Along with the trade of Wallace, they released Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson.
Miami brought free agent receiver Michael Crabtree in for a visit earlier in the offseason.
