Dunn established Homes for the Holidays during his first year in the NFL and started Warrick Dunn Charities in 2002. Over the years, the programs have rewarded single-parent families purchasing their first home with complete home furnishings and help with down payments.

The charities were created in honor of Dunn's late mother, a Louisiana police officer, who was shot and killed in a robbery when Dunn was just 18. They have reached 147 families in 14 cities across the country including Jacksonville, Tallahassee and Tampa.
Dunn was a standout at FSU and played 12 seasons in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
