MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Beyoncé may have said it best: "Who run the world? Girls!"

Those aren't just lyrics to one of her hit songs, they're also part of her lifestyle. She's among the top 100 Most Powerful Women in the World, according to Forbes. "Queen Bey" ranks 21st.

Fellow singer, Taylor Swift is also on the list in the 64th spot. She the youngest on the list for 2015 at age 25.

"She has 60 million followers with one click of the mouse," said Moira Forbes, the Forbes Media Executive Vice President, on CBS This Morning Tuesday. "That's a new dynamic of power that we can't ignore.

The magazine selects women for the list "based on the reach of each woman's influence and relevance, and ranked by money and media momentum," according to Forbes.com

The 2015 list includes 24 CEOs, 15 billionaires and eight heads of state.

Together, they control $1 trillion in annual revenues.

Mary Barra, in the driver's seat at General Motors, is the highest ranking CEO on the list at Number 5. Experts say Barra's made an impact since she assumed the title a year and a half ago.

"A lot of people have faith she can turn this company around and deal with the big safety issues they've had," Moira Forbes said.

Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen is on the list at Number 4, behind businesswoman and philanthropist, Melinda Gates at number 3.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is up four spots, from 6 to 2, thanks, in part, to her lucrative public speaking career.

"She also has really favorable poll rankings despite all the issues she's been having," Forbes said.

The number 1 most powerful woman in the world for 2015, according to Forbes, is German Chancellor Angela Merkel. She's in the top spots for the fifth year in a row.

"The fate of the Eurozone rests on her shoulder," Forbes said. "But with things like the debt crisis in Greece and a connected economy, what she does in Europe affects us all.

Media moguls Oprah Winfrey and Arianna Huffington are on the list.

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg is number 8 and First Lady Michelle Obama ranks 10th.

Sara Blakely is on the list at number 91. If you don't know her name, you may know her product. She's the creator of the women's shapewear known as "Spanx".
