Focus on South Florida: The Education Fund
Back to school. It's just about that time again. Since 1985, The Education Fund has worked side-by-side with the private sector to direct resources where they are needed most in Miami-Dade schools.
And the Ed Fund, as it's called is in full back-to-school mode. Right now they are collecting back-to-school supplies for its Ocean Bank Center for Education Materials, a warehouse where public school teachers in Miami-Dade can pick up free school supplies. This benefits students, obviously. But it helps out the teachers too, some of whom are spending close to one-thousand dollars of their own money for supplies and materials in a single school year. We focus on the work the Education Fund does, and how you can help them achieve their goal. To watch the interview, click on the above picture.
