Floridian Voters Favor Clinton, Bush
TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami) - As chatter builds about the 2016 presidential election, Florida voters back Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Jeb Bush among the laundry list of potential candidates.
That's according to a new Quinnipiac University poll which found Clinton, the former U.S. secretary of state, was the favorite of 64 percent of registered Democrats polled, with Vice President Joe Biden coming in next at 11 percent.
Meanwhile, Bush, the former Florida governor, received support of 27 percent of Republicans, with Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul following at 14 percent.
In a hypothetical general-election race, Clinton would top Bush by a margin of 49 percent to 41 percent in Florida, according to the poll.
The Connecticut-based Quinnipiac surveyed 1,413 registered Florida voters from April 23rd to April 28th.
