Florida Poll: Hillary Clinton Leads Bush, Rubio In Matchups

TALLLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) — Florida voters seem to like Hillary Clinton, a lot. A new poll shows  Clinton is a favorite among Florida voters in a hypothetical 2016 presidential matchup against either of the state's two best-known Republicans.

Clinton has leads against Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio in a survey of nearly 1,600 registered voters by Quinnipiac University Polling Institute. The margin of error is plus or minus 2.5 points.

Clinton leads Bush 49 percent to 43 percent and Rubio 51 percent to 41 percent. Her lead among other potential Republicans is wider. The poll shows Florida voters prefer her 51 percent to 35 percent over New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

The poll also shows that a majority of Floridians have negative feelings about the job President Barack Obama is doing. He has a 42 percent to 53 percent job approval rating.
