FIU To Receive $5.5 Million For Research

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Florida International University Panthers have a lot to roar about.

The university is receiving $5.5 million from Congress.

The money will go to FIU projects with community impact.

The efforts include imaging for diseases in the South Florida community and a study to predict the extent of future algae blooms in Biscayne Bay.
