FIU Football Player Arrested, Facing Domestic Battery Charges

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A football player at Florida International University is behind bars.
Shawndarrius Phillips was arrested on Thursday, stemming from an incident earlier this year.
Phillips, 21, turned himself in on a warrant from September 4th.
He's being charged with domestic battery by strangulation.
He is currently being held without bond.
