Fister Pleased With Debut, Nationals Beat Marlins

VIERA (AP) — Doug Fister struck out the first two batters he faced in his spring debut with Washington, and the Nationals beat the Miami Marlins 10-3 Sunday.

Despite feeling a little erratic at times, Fister said he pleased with the outing. He allowed one run and two hits with a walk in two innings, his first game since Detroit traded him to the Nationals in the offseason.

Adam LaRoche hit a two-run homer for the Nationals. Jeff Kobernus and Zach Walters each had an RBI triple and Wilson Ramos had two hits and an RBI.

Ed Lucas hit a solo home run for the Marlins. Starter Brad Hand gave up one run in two innings.

Washington right fielder Jayson Werth was a late scratch with a strained right biceps.
