NORLAND (CBSMiami) -- Two people were sent to the hospital overnight after a horrific crash in a high-end sports car.
The driver, in a red Ferrari, lost control and hit a barrier early Saturday morning in the southbound lanes of I-95 near Miami Gardens Drive, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The car was totaled, with front-end damage severe enough to knock the driver-side wheel off and deploy airbags.
Officials said one of the victims was taken to Aventura Hospital as a trauma situation.
Upon arrival, he could be seen alert and talking to paramedics as they wheeled him on a stretcher.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
