MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Almost 24 hours after 13-year-old Jasmen Ravel was last seen, Miami police said she was found safe.

Jasmen, who the family said has the mental capacity of a 6-year-old child, had gone missing Sunday night around 10:30 p.m. after her great grandmother had put her to bed.

In the morning, her bedroom window was found open and she was nowhere to be found.

A state-wide missing person alert was issued.

Police handed out flyers while greyhounds and helicopter assisted in the search in the 500 block of NW 17th Street and beyond.

Finally, late Monday night, she was found. Her great grandmother was put in a police car and taken to headquarters where she was reunited with the teen.

As for where Jasmen had been and the circumstances around her disappearance, it is still unknown.

Police would only say that she is safe.
