FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- The father of a teenage girl whose virginity was propositioned by another teen aboard a cruise ship has been charged in an attack on the boy, court records show.
Jason Lawson, 32, is accused of helping another man assault a 13-year-old aboard the Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas back in August, according to the Sun-Sentinel.
Police said the 13-year-old boy offered Lawson's daughter, also 13, a key chain in exchange for her virginity.
Upset, Lawson and the girl's uncle, Arturo Martinez, Jr., 30, both from Ohio, confronted the boy.
Investigators said Lawson first made the boy apologize to his daughter, but later, Martinez cornered the kid and beat him up while Lawson watched, making sure he couldn't escape.
Lawson is facing several charges including battery and false imprisonment.
Martinez was arrested in August. He faces similar charges as well as assault and child abuse without great bodily harm.
