FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - In honor of her 25th birthday, Trukita Scott's family and friends sent balloons soaring into the sky hoping somehow their message of love will reach the young mother who's been missing for months.

"I wish nobody has to go through this really - not knowing where my daughter's at, can't speak to her. The kids are crying. They're looking for their mom. It's very, very hard, very hard," said Charles Scott, Trukita's father.

Trukita has been seen since late June.  A week after she disappeared, her car was found in Liberty City nearly 25-miles south of her Fort Lauderdale home.

Her family members said the past four months have been excruciating - especially for her young son and daughter.

Trukita's absence is even more painful at a time when the family would normally be celebrating her birthday.

"The kids, it's really hard on them, it's really hard on my wife," said Charles Scott. "Tomorrow's my daughter's birthday, 25th and my wife's birthday also on the same day it's really tough right now –really tough."

Family members said the community is helping them get through.

'It's great having all the people out here supporting us in trying to find her and celebrate her 25th birthday and we miss her and just want her home," her brother said.

As family and friends sang, prayed, and cried they also asked for anyone with information in this case to come forward.

"Anything you might know to help it would be highly appreciated," said Charles Scott.

"Everyone needs closure and whether it's bad or good just give us respect.  God forbid something happened to my sister just let us have our respect and pay our respects to her," her brother went on to say.

As the family marks Trukita's birthday, her father is holding onto hope.

"We love her, we miss her and we want her to come home. We're never going to stop looking, never going to stop."
