Facebook Releases Fix For Battery-Draining App

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Facebook has admitted its app may be draining your iPhone battery faster than usual but now there's a fix.
A Facebook engineer says in a post that the social media network has been looking into the complaints and acknowledged the app is using "more battery than intended."
One issue is that the audio session for Facebook videos was playing even after users left the app, the engineer said.
However, Facebook has released a new version of its app.
Facebook made the change after an outcry from users, who found the app was draining the battery even when they weren't using it.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused," engineer Ari Grant said. "We are committed to continuing to improve the battery usage of our app and you should see improvements in the version released today."
