Ex-UM Lineman Arrested For Allegedly Soliciting A Prostitute

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tennessee Titans defensive end Adewale Ojomo was arrested Friday morning after he allegedly tried to solicit a prostitute.

According to Miami Police, Ojomo solicited an undercover detective during a prostitution sting operation on NE 2nd Avenue and 22nd Street. Ojomo, according to the arrest report, asked the detective if she had condoms and was offered sex for $100.

Ojomo was driving a 2013 Lexus when he was arrested. The car has been impounded and he will have to pay $500 to get it back, according to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald.

Ojomo played his college ball at the University of Miami. He played 35 games with UM over three years and pulled down 79 tackles and 9.5 sacks in his collegiate career. He was also implicated in the Nevin Shapiro scandal and was suspended for one game for taking impermissible benefits.

Since joining the NFL, Ojomo has bounced between teams. He initially signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in May 2012. He later was signed to the Seattle Seahawks and then the Buffalo Bills practice squad.

He was most recently on the Titans' practice squad and has not appeared in a regular season game in his career yet.
