Esiason: 'A Watershed Moment' For Joe Philbin vs. Bills
The heat is on Joe Philbin and the Miami Dolphins (1-1) this week when Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills (1-1) come to town for Miami's home opener.
"I think coach Philbin is in a really, really tough spot right now," CBS radio host and former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason said on the Big O Show. "And I hate to use this language because I know it's cliché-ish but it is a watershed moment for him as the coach of the Miami Dolphins against Rex Ryan, coming down there probably in front of a sold-out stadium with a great defense and an owner that spent a lot of money on that team. So the pressure is going to be significant for coach Philbin and his coaching staff."
Boomer calls it a "must-win game" for both Miami and Buffalo.
