MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Drop the Entenmann's Little Bites.

The maker of the snacks is voluntarily recalling some varieties of its treats because they may have pieces of plastic.

The recall affects Entenmann's Little Bites Fudge Brownies (5 pack), Chocolate Chip Muffins (5 pack and 10 pack boxes) with a "best by" date of October 8th and Variety Pack (20 pack) with a "best by" date of September 24th.

The items included in the recall were sent to stores within the past two weeks.

The problem has been traced to a manufacturing failure at a contractor's bakery in Illinois.

The company issued the recall after receiving consumer reports of the plastic in the products. One injury was reported.

All recalled products have been removed from store shelves.

Those who have bought the items listed under the recall are advised to toss them out or return the products to the store for a full refund.
