MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A dramatic piece of artwork is bringing attention to the dangers of distracted driving.
Sprint recently unveiled the sculpture at 1200 Brickell Avenue, turning a wrecked car into an emoji icon with a sign that reminds residents to "Dn't Txt & Drive."
The company and its creators designed "The Last Emoji" out of car parts that crashed because the driver was texting.
"Texting & driving is no laughing matter," reads a sign at the bottom of the sculpture.

April was Distracted Driving Awareness Month. In 2013, more than 3,100 Americans died and a staggering 424,000 were hurt in crashes that involved distracted drivers, according to The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Florida is one of just a handful of states that only offers citations for texting while driving.
