Elderly Man Killed In Hialeah Stabbing
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Hialeah Police arrested a man accused of stabbing an elderly man on Saturday.
Evelio Valdez, 54, is behind bars after he allegedly stabbed Carlos Cutino just one day before his birthday on May 4th.
Cutino would have turned 75-years old.
According to police, it all happened just before 6:00 p.m. in front of Cutino's home at 90 W 8th Street.
Witnesses told police Valdez confronted Cutino in front of the home, allegedly stabbed Cutino several times and ran away. Cutino died from his injuries.
Police caught up to Valdez two blocks later and arrested him.
Detectives said the motive for the stabbing is unknown but the two men did know each other.
Witnesses told police there was some sort long-standing dispute between them.
