CBS News Miami's Trish Christakis shares Stephenson's story of love for books and his 5th love for the game.
Dylan plays like he's been on the field since childhood - but he says he got a late start.
"I try to say the same things as most kids saying they've been playing for a long time but that's not the truth. I started my 8th-grade year; I was on varsity and that's where my love started."
A sport he says he wished he played earlier, especially since football runs in the family....both his grandfather and brother played at UM.
"I saw my older brother doing it and I was like I think I can do that started mocking him. I thought it was the only sport I could be dominant in and I really enjoy the aspect where I can impose my will on somebody on the field."
He is a vocal leader on the field... the Stanford commit says he has a different approach when it comes to prepping for game day.
"My friends make fun of me for this, I read. I read before the game and that's what I like to spend my time doing it gets me in a very stoic mindset very relaxed and focused. Not really super yelly rah rah but I know what I need to do and how to do it in a way calm."
He says it teaches him not only lessons in football but in life, something in life.
"Certain things in the book and certain pages are teaching me lessons right when I get on the field or how to stay relaxed in the bad times or good times."
Adding a CBS Miami Nat Moore trophy to the list of good times he said, would be....
"Definitely be an honor especially those who've gotten it before me."
