One Killed In Early Morning Crash On State Road 7

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - One person was killed in an early morning crash near Ft. Lauderdale.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said Luis Fernando Zapata, 19, lost control of his white Mustang and slammed into a pole at State Road 7 and Davie Boulevard around 1 a.m.
Daniel Alcocer, who was in the passenger seat, was ejected from the car and died on scene.
Zapata was transported to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
