Driver Cited In Hialeah School Bus Crash

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The driver who police say caused a bus to crash into a Hialeah home has been cited.
Friday morning Hialeah Police said 47-year-old Felix Padilla had been cited for careless driving in Thursday's incident.
According to Hialeah Police, the school bus was driving down W 3rd Avenue when a Nissan Maxima came into the intersection at W 14th Street and reportedly ran a stop sign causing the bus to slam through the stone wall of the home.
About 15 pre-teen and teen passengers were on board at the time of the crash.
Three children were taken to Palmetto Hospital with minor injuries. All of them have since been treated and released.
The bus driver who owns the service with her husband was not injured.
Neighbors said that corner is infamous for people running the stop sign and running into the home.
CBS4's Hank Tester even spoke with the crash prone homeowner.
"This is the second time in five months," Orlando Fernandez said.
The driver of the Nissan may also be hearing about the stone wall.
"Somebody gotta pay," Fernandez said. "I'm not going to pay anything."
