FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- The driver who police say never stopped after allegedly running over a teenager and killing her was in court Friday morning.
Bond was set at $75,000 for 28-year-old Max Stevenson Francois, charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. He was placed on house arrest.
15-year-old Jaliah Cross was struck and killed as she walked home from a store in Ft. Lauderdale.
On Thursday, investigators said they found Francois' car parked outside of his home, covered under a tarp.
