POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) – Detectives with the Broward County Sheriff's Office are looking for a man they say is armed and dangerous.
QuanTez Rodney Baker is wanted for the attempted murder of his own father.
Detectives say on Friday, around 5:45 P.M., Baker drove by in a dark gray Mercedes SUV and fired several rounds at his father and a friend at a Pompano Beach home near the 2500 block of 5th Street.
Surveillance video captured the moment when bullets struck the home's exterior walls. The two people were not injured.
Detective Tim Metz said they believe the motive is money.
"It's a long-standing feud going over several months, initially starting over some money," said Metz. "He drove up to the house come up to slowly stop. As he stopping, the father turns...and immediately, the son starts shooting."
Baker is already a wanted and convicted felon, who was out on probation. Charges include grand theft of a firearm and resisting arrest.
"It happened [when] many people were coming home from work and school," said Metz. "Obviously [Baker] is a threat to the safety of not only law enforcement and the public at large."
Baker is also wanted for other charges included aggravated assault with a firearm and shooting a missile into a dwelling.
