Search for suspect after 2 teen brothers fatally shot

MIAMI — Police were searching Sunday for a suspect after the bodies of two brothers who were fatally shot were found at a  southwest Miami-Dade apartment building Saturday evening.

Alexis Martinez Marquez, 19, and Osvaldo Martinez Marquez, 16, were found after police received a report of gunfire shortly before 5:30 p.m. at 10214 SW 175th Street that was abandoned, police said in a written statement.

A reward of up to $10,000 was being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of a suspect.

CBS News MIami's Peter D'Oench spoke a family member at the teens' home in Homestead. She said the mother and other loved ones of the victims were too upset to comment about the killings. 

Police have not said publicly if the pair knew the person who fatally shot them or if it was a random attack. 

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call Miami-Dade police or Crimestoppers at 305-471-8477.
