Teen Missing From Doral School Found Safe

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A missing Miami-Dade teen has been found safe in Hialeah Gardens.
Christopher Barreto, 18, was found at a Citgo gas station on Okeechobee Road, according to police.
Doral police conducted an all out search for him Thursday morning after he was reported missing by his family.
Barreto is a senior at Doral Academy High School located at 11100 NW 27th Street. When his family contacted the authorities they said he was last seen on campus around 3:30pm on Wednesday. They said they tried to call him but cellphone was off. They believed he was in danger.
"Being a parent I have three children myself. I can see that they're concerned their son didn't come home. At this time we're respecting their wishes to not delve to deep into some family issues that they may be having at this time," said Doral police Lt. Daniel Muñecas Thursday morning.
Thursday morning Doral and Miami-Dade police officers passed out flyers and searched a large around the school including nearby canals. They also search by air via helicopter. A police bloodhound was brought in to try and track the teen's scent.
The boy and his family since have been reunited and are now talking with the police.
