MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Don Shula is the winningest head coach in National Football League history and a beloved figure in South Florida after leading the Miami Dolphins to five Super Bowls during his tenure with the team.

This Sunday during halftime of the Dolphins home game against the Dallas Cowboys, Shula will receive his Pro Football Hall of Fame ring courtesy of Kay Jewelers.

Shula was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1997 after winning 328 games as an NFL head coach over four decades.

He coached the Dolphins from 1970-1995 and led them to two Super Bowl victories in Super Bowl VII and Super Bowl VIII.

The win in Super Bowl VII capped off the only perfect season in NFL history as the Dolphins went 17-0 that year.
