DAVIE (CBSMiami) – After being cut by the division rival New England Patriots, Jonas Gray has found a familiar home with the Miami Dolphins.
The team announced they signed the veteran running back off the practice squad on Friday.
Gray spent 2014 with the New England Patriots on their practice squad as well as the active roster.
His most memorable game with the Pats came against the Indianapolis Colts last season when he rushed 37 times for 201 yards and four touchdowns.
Gray originally signed with Miami as an undrafted college free agent in 2012.
The team also announced they signed 6 foot 2, 310-pound center Sam Brenner.
In his career, Brenner has appeared in seven games with four starts, all of which came in 2013.
In order to make room for Gray and Brenner, the Dolphins released center/guard Jacques McClendon and quarterback Logan Thomas.
