Dolphins' Pouncey Practices For First Time Since Hip Surgery
DAVIE (CBSMiami/AP) - Mike Pouncey was back on the practice field for the Dolphins on Tuesday. This is the first time he practices since undergoing hip surgery in July.
The Pro Bowl player confirmed that he participated in every drill. However, Pouncey did reiterate he is leaving it up to the team doctors to determine his status for Sunday's home game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The fourth-year pro had rehabbed all through training camp, the preseason and the first two weeks of the regular season. His progress was such that the team opted to keep him on the 53-man roster after the final cuts rather than place him on the Physically Unable to Perform list in hopes that he could return sooner.
Through two games this season, the Dolphins have given up five sacks. Last year sacks were an epidemic the Dolphins offensive line could not cure, giving up a league-high 58 sacks
Clearly the team would like to have their starting center back.
